FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE QMTL SHIP SIMULATORSQMTL has installed the Sea Information Systems SISRADAR 6 - Latest technologies in Radar, ARPA and ECDIS training simulationsQMTL has implemented it's Radar Observer training using the SISRADAR 6 simulator. The SISRADAR 6 is compliant with IMO training standards for Radar, ARPA, ECDIS and Electronic Navigation. The features include: Accurate simulations of various manufacturers radars.
Navigation aids simulations (Loran/GPS/Depth Sounding/AIS/VHF-FM DSC and Doppler log). Ship Controls includes twin screw and bow and stern thrusters, anchoring and auto pilot. Engines can be controlled by telegraph or throttle.
The SISRADAR 6 is capable of producing both generic radar displays and also displays for Radar, ARPA and ECDIS from manufacturers including Kelvin Hughes-Nucleus 2, Furuno, and BridgeMaster. Each ship (student) station also has a navigation screen incorporating data from DGPS, Loran, depths, AIS, VHF-FM DSC, Doppler log and ships control into the display.
