Maritime Instructors Needed - Full & Part Time:

Use your hard earned and valuable mariner experience as an maritime instructor helping others as they get started or advance in their marine offshore careers.  QMTL has an immediate need for experienced mariners, who hold valid Coast Guard licenses to serve as instructors for various deck and safety training courses.  Previous instructional experience is not necessary but would be helpful, QMTL will provide the necessary Train-the-Trainer instruction to qualified and motivated candidates.  All curriculums are professionally developed with detailed teaching and lesson plans to aid the instructor in helping our students.

Full Time and Part Time Deck Instructor Positions:

Duties: Teach USCG approved maritime courses at the Quality Maritime Training's St. Petersburg, Florida location.   Courses would include Fire Fighting, Master/Mate Licensing, RADAR, ARPA, Tankerman PIC and the OICNW modules.

Qualifications: Current USCG Master/Chief Mate/Second Mate License of Any Gross Tons, STCW-95 Certificate, unlimited RADAR and ARPA endorsement, preferably with ECDIS experience. Vessel officer experience on vessels over 500 gross tons. Tankerman PIC instructor (requires Tanker/Tank Ship experience).  Prior instructional experience and/or train-the-trainer qualifications a plus for this position.  We will conduct the Train-the-Trainer course for motivated candidates.

Compensation:  Commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Terms of Employment: Full time salary position. Part time position would be 7 to 10 days for each training event.

Additional Requirement: Must live local to the St. Petersburg/Tampa area and/or be able to commute to our St. Petersburg location to be considered.
