Maritime Instructors Needed - Full & Part Time:
Use your hard earned and valuable mariner experience as an maritime instructor helping others as they get started or advance in their marine offshore careers. QMTL has an immediate need for experienced mariners, who hold valid Coast Guard licenses to serve as instructors for various deck and safety training courses. Previous instructional experience is not necessary but would be helpful, QMTL will provide the necessary Train-the-Trainer instruction to qualified candidates. All curriculums are professionally developed with detailed teaching and lesson plans to aid the instructor in helping our students. See the following employment opportunities at QMTL: OUPV (6-Pack)/ Master 100 Tons Part Time Instructor: We have an URGENT need for a part time instructor to teach our U.S. Coast Guard approved Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV/6-Pack) AND; our Upgrade to Master 100 Gross Tons license training courses. These courses are usually offered once per month at our St. Petersburg facility. If you like to work with people and are willing to help, motivate and assist those attempting to learn the Navigation Rules of the Road, Piloting Navigation, Boating Safety and Seamanship, this may be a good position for you. Qualifications: At least a valid Master of 50 GRT Vessels, Near Coastal License. Also helpful if license is endorsed for Auxiliary Sail or Assistance Towing but not a requirement. Prior instructional experience a plus for this position. Compensation: Commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Terms of Employment: Part time 56 to 80 hours + per month.

Part Time Maritime Instructor Position: Duties: Teach USCG approved maritime courses at the Quality Maritime Training's St. Petersburg, Florida location (occasional travel to other remote teaching locations may be required). Courses would include Fire Fighting, Master/Mate Licensing, AB, RADAR, and STCW Basic Safety Training, Proficiency in Survival Craft, etc.
Qualifications: Current USCG Master License of at least 1600 Ton (US), Master of Towing Vessels, STCW-95 Certificate, AB and unlimited RADAR. Tankerman PIC and ARPA endorsement a plus for this position. Compensation: Commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Terms of Employment: Part time 24 to 80 hours per month.

Qualifications: Current USCG Master License of at least 1600 Ton (US) (Prefer Chief Mate/Master of Any Gross Tons -Oceans), , STCW-95 Certificate, AB, Unlimited RADAR, Tankerman PIC and ARPA endorsements. Also holding a Master of Towing Vessels license would be helpful but not required. Prior instructional experience and Train-the-Trainer qualifications a plus for this position. Compensation: Commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
