Our focus is on the student and the caliber of the training they receive, not just to help them pass a test! At Quality Maritime Training, we have a team of professional licensed mariners and skilled instructors that teach our U.S. Coast Guard approved and STCW-95 compliant training
courses.
Who is Quality Maritime Training?
Quality Maritime Training, LLC (QMT) is operated by some of the most successful and experienced maritime educators in the region. We strive to increase mariner safety by providing the highest caliber education and training courses possible. We are located in St. Petersburg, Florida
to serve as the complete training source for the Charterboat Captain's license through the offshore mariner for U.S. Coast Guard approved and STCW-95 compliant training.
The key members of the training institution are active attendees of the Offshore Marine Service Association (OMSA), Passenger Vessel Association (PVA), and the Merchant Marine Personnel Advisory Committee (MERPAC). We do this to keep abreast of the latest regulatory changes that may effect our student's and their
marine employers.
What We Do
Quality Maritime Training offers U.S. Coast Guard approved training courses for Charterboat Captain, Master/Mate of vessels of 100 and 200 GRT, Towing Vessel Officer Apprentice Mate (Steersman), License Renewal, First Aid & CPR, Able Seaman, Tankerman PIC, Radar Observer Original & Renewal certifications, and
more.
In addition, we offer a number of Coast Guard approved STCW-95 compliant training courses such as, Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (RFPNW), Basic Safety Training, Proficiency in Survival Craft (PSC) /Lifeboats. Additionally, we offer deck officer STCW courses for ARPA, GMDSS, ECDIS, Bridge Resource Management,
Medical Care Provider, Ship Construction & Stability, Cargo Handling & Stowage, Emergency Procedures, Search & Rescue, Magnetic & Gyro Compasses, Meteorology, Terrestrial, Coastal and Celestial Navigation. Coming soon - STCW Advanced Fire Fighting and the OICNW Modules for Electronic Navigation, and more.
We are also considered the experts in preparing candidates for their U.S. Coast Guard license examinations for deck officer licenses of vessels over 500 Gross Tons.

Training Support & Instructional Staff
Our training support and instructional staff all possess experience in the offshore vessel and maritime training industries. Our administrative staff can help you with the ins & outs of the U.S. Coast Guard and International training & certification requirements.
All of our instructional staff have achieved the standards set by QMT in completing our in-house train-the-trainer programs before we assign them as an instructor for any of our training courses or programs. All of our instructors have extensive background and practical experience in the
maritime industry and vessel operations.
